Safe Under Mama's Wing

This weekend we have had many tiny ones come into the world and how sweet they are. Tiny babies hatching and snuggling under their mama's wing for warmth and she is just so proud.

I sometimes wonder what life would be like if I stopped bringing these tiny lives into the world and I feel I would be lost. The joy, the hope and the pure miracle never dulls, never ceases to amaze me and never stops bringing joy to my family.

To watch the dear mama hen tending to her babies is so touching. The maternal instinct, tenderness and care she shows is really beautiful. I admire these hens dedication to their young, nothing else shifts their focus and I once again see the lessons these small but intelligent animals can teach us. They can teach us patience, perseverance and to allow the time to be with the small things that need such care.

I love my hens, I love these chicks and I love giving new life to animals that need quality in their days.
