The Lovely Rosnay Organic Wines...

This week I had the pleasure of chatting to the lovely Sam from Rosnay Organic Wines. On my mission to both share and promote ethical businesses I had to share this gem. Sam has very generously offered that all Mindfully Green readers can receive a 15% discount (until June 2013) on orders. All you need to do is place your order and then write 'MINDFULLY' into discount coupon box and receive these amazing wines at such a great price.

I asked Sam some questions about wine making and his journey, this was what he had to say.

What made you get into organic wine making?
When I was at school I was bagged out for being a greenie, but as the son of a farmer and an amazing chef I focused on food and wine as our most important connection with the earth. Growing and eating organic is the most direct action anyone can take in an age of the "war on Nature".

Do you love what you do and why?
Yes, I love the whole lifestyle of being an organic farmer, and the art of getting things done with the resources at hand. So we build out of old materials if possible, we use sheep for nutrient generation rather than bags of nitrogen from a factory.

Where is your vineyard located? We are in the beautiful Belubula Valley in the Central West. Nearest town is Canowindra, population 2000, which is a real gem with a strong community.

Will you ship your wines overseas?
Yes we have been shipping to Japan for the last 5 years or so. We are looking for importers in other markets, but cannot supply full container loads.

How else do you apply organic principles to your life?
Just trying to bring up the kids with minimal oral rubbish (processed food) and mental garbage (TV and gadgets) and just living in the now, looking for the wonder of plants and insects and the beauty of every day, rain or shine, drought or flood, sunrise and sunset.

When a product is made with a love and a respect for the planet whilst doing it, the product contains those efforts and amplified nutrient content within, thus making something that is whole and as it was intended.

This story to me sings of a bunch of beautiful people who care about there product, the planet, peoples health and the state of their impact. Therefore wonderful and something I want to celebrate and love to be able to share here.

Please visit Rosnay Organic Wines website today, make the most of their offer and know you have purchased a product that cares.

Have a happy weekend and please do share your stories about these delicious wines. I will leave you with this quote that I got from the Rosnay wines website and may it be in all of our hearts all of the time.
